See Chicago rockers Lovehammers on the cover of the September issue of Illinois Entertainer, in support of their new release Heavy Crown.
Led by singer Marty Casey, Lovehammer made their powerful new disc with additional production by Marti Frederickson (Aerosmith, Buckcherry, Pink, Faith Hill, and Papa Roach). It includes thought-provoking, hook-injected airwave contenders. Heavy Crown is the band’s fifth studio album and was released on their REEP Records through Fontana/INgrooves. The band’s renewed D.I.Y. attitude is the direct result of surviving the blessings and curses that came their way--including a stint on a major label--when Marty became a household name, earning the adoration of millions of television viewers as the runner-up on the reality series “Rockstar INXS.”
LOVEHAMMERS recently joined forces with Tea Stain Clothing for their “Music Fashion Project.” A portion of proceeds from the “Imperial“ t-shirt will go to Rock For Kids (www.rockforkids.org), a Chicago-based non-profit organization that provides free year-round music education for children in need. For more info on the “Music Fashion Project,” visit: www.themusicfashionproject.com.
The band is also set to return to Los Angeles for the first time since the release of Heavy Crown, for a headline show at The Key Club on September 25.
